Vesissä Collective — LAUMA ARTS

Vesissä Collective is an international live art and theatre collective based in Finland and the UK. The collective was formed in 2017 by Sinikka Kyllönen and Paulina Lenoir after graduating from renowned theatre school Ecole Philippe Gaulier. Together they make film, theatre and performance pieces that explore new forms of story-telling. Their work aims to question existing theatrical structures in order to make inclusive, site-speci c and ground-breaking work.

Séparation explores the relationship between action and reality through a chance encounter. Suspense is kept throughout the film because of the mystery of the relationship between the two main characters. It is never fully revealed whether they are complete strangers or have known each other their whole lives by dipping into and out of reality subtly throughout the story.
